Don't Ask Don't Tell..."are you serious right now?"

Why would anyone in the military feel that a person who openly admits that they are gay purposes the need for some cause of action. Are we that shallow or in the closet our selves? Hiding and not acknowledging a fact that each of us is aware of. Not recognizing that the very guy standing next to you in that shower naked just may be gay as well, and checking you out on the sly. Only difference is he was selfish enough to keep it to himself.
