Your Place or mine?

Is it improper for a woman to invite a gentlemen over to her home for a good home cooked meal every now and then. Perhaps a late night cocktail? An opportunity to have some good conversation  and un-wind or just cuddle up for a movie and be held? It would seem not. Typically, a woman would be "askn for it" or considered looking for a booty call in any of the above cenarios. Where as if  a guy offered any of the above invitations to a female...we would find him charming, be deeply flattered and he would earn big points! Double standard?
